Aluminium foil tapes are usually made of aluminium, some also contain glass, tin or steel. The metallic elements in aluminium foil tape make it more durable than plastic tape. Most aluminium foil tapes can withstand temperatures from -40°F to 350°F. Because all the metals used in aluminium foil tapes are relatively soft, the tapes are highly ductile. The best aluminium foil tapes combine the flexibility and protection of aluminium, copper and lead foils with first-class adhesives.

First unroll the aluminium foil insulation and lay it out on a flat, level surface, then splice the two pieces together. It is worth noting that the two layers should be stacked 1 to 2 centimetres apart to prevent leakage more effectively!
After applying the aluminium foil tape, press it firmly and flatly so that the tape fits tightly to the material.
